The Platteklip Gorge is the most direct route up to the top, although quite steep with lots of steps, and follows a path that goes through a ravine and the beautiful front face of the mountain.
The path features awe-inspiring surroundings all the way to the top. Depending on one’s fitness level, the route takes between 1H30 to 3H to ascend the mountain.
Hikers are encouraged to pause and soak in the amazingingly stunning views. There is plenty of time to take photographs along the way and on the top as you absorb the spectacular views.

The cable car down is a memorable experience as the car rotates allowing you to savour 360-degree views.
